WHY SAVEX?

Addressing the Bank's Delivery Challenges

Banks today run several concurrent technology programmes — core banking transformation, data migration, project delivery, and ongoing product and system changes — often with aggressive timelines and complex integration. Internal teams typically have strong product and domain knowledge, but available capacity may not always be enough to independently lead large-scale or overlapping work across these areas.

This creates several key challenges:

1

Limited Implementation Capacity

The Bank may not have sufficient dedicated resources to manage new implementations alongside existing operational responsibilities. As the number and complexity of projects increase, internal teams can become stretched across project management, technical coordination, testing, migration, and business support activities.

2

Limited Product-Specific Expertise

Although the Bank has experienced professionals with strong banking and domain knowledge, there may be limited availability of resources with deep product-specific implementation expertise. This creates dependency on external implementation vendors for critical product decisions, configuration, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.

3

Data Migration Complexity

Data migration is one of the most critical and risk-sensitive components of any implementation. It requires detailed understanding of source and target data structures, data mapping, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, validation, migration cycles, and cutover planning. Limited internal bandwidth and product-specific expertise can make it challenging for the Bank to independently drive these activities and ensure migration quality.

4

Project Management & Delivery Governance

Large implementations require dedicated project governance, planning, tracking, dependency management, risk and issue resolution, stakeholder coordination, and timely decision-making. When these responsibilities are distributed across already-busy internal teams, maintaining consistent delivery governance and project momentum can become challenging.

5

Dependency on Implementation Vendors

In the absence of sufficient product-focused implementation capacity, the Bank may become heavily dependent on implementation vendors — not only for technical execution but also for solution decisions, product interpretation, migration activities, troubleshooting, and day-to-day project management. This can create challenges in maintaining independent oversight, knowledge ownership, vendor accountability, and long-term sustainability within the Bank.

HOW WE ENGAGE

Clear strategy. Strong technical execution. Measurable delivery.

01

Understand

We start with the existing landscape, delivery constraints and legacy data — and we make clear what the bank owns versus what the implementation vendor owns.

02

Transform

Mapping, solution design and in-house tooling so the bank is not starting from a blank sheet or depending on the vendor for every product decision.

03

Deliver

Governance, readiness and cutover quality. We stay through go-live — not a slide deck at kick-off.

LEADERSHIP

A named Transact lead, not a junior bench.

Engagements are led by a seasoned Transact expert covering technical architecture, data migration and project management — not a large team of juniors handed off after the sale.

CoreMATE

A local-only T24 migration toolkit — covering scoping, DMS generation, mapping, file generation, screening, reconciliation, load file generation, error analysis and more, all in one tool, end to end inside the browser.

CoreMATE — a closer look

A local-only T24 migration toolkit.

TRADITIONAL DATA MIGRATION APPROACH

  • Preparing a client-specific DM Strategy document is time-consuming and requires significant manual effort
  • DMS sheets are typically prepared by hand, adding more manual work before mapping can even begin
  • Field-mapping sessions typically start from scratch and require multiple lengthy sessions to finalise the mapping
  • Data extraction and transformation can become a lengthy exercise, requiring banks to develop and maintain a large number of scripts — much of this scripting effort has limited value once migration is completed. Together with DM Strategy and field mapping, these stages can consume a significant portion of the overall migration effort
  • Banks may need to hire additional technical resources specifically for legacy data extraction, transformation, and migration activities
  • As these are critical migration stages, they require extensive manual review, validation, and attention to minimise errors
  • Banks may need to procure additional tools, develop specialised reports, or create custom scripts to perform balance and data reconciliation
  • Throughout these stages, banks can become heavily dependent on implementation partners or third-party vendors for technical assistance and troubleshooting
  • There is typically no single view of migration progress, failures and overall execution — status is tracked across spreadsheets, emails and vendor updates

HOW COREMATE TRANSFORMS THE PROCESS

  • Automated DM Strategy: once the migration scope is defined, CoreMATE automatically populates the DM Strategy document along with predefined strategy guidelines, significantly reducing manual effort
  • Automated DMS Preparation: DMS sheets are automatically populated, reducing manual preparation and minimising dependency on implementation vendors
  • AI-Assisted Field Mapping: up to 80% of the mapping effort can be automated, while the remaining activities and final validation remain under expert review
  • Automated Transformation: strategy, mapping, extraction, and transformation activities can be streamlined through automation, with reusable transformation logic reducing the need for extensive one-off scripting
  • Reduced Resource Dependency: banks can reduce the need for dedicated legacy technical resources and increase migration throughput with a leaner team
  • AI-Assisted Troubleshooting: failed migration records can be analysed more efficiently, with AI-assisted recommendations for common Temenos Transact migration and processing issues
  • Predefined Reconciliation: built-in reconciliation reports simplify balance and data validation, reducing the need to develop separate reconciliation tools or reports
  • Reduced Vendor Dependency: banks retain greater control over their migration process, reducing dependency on implementation partners for routine migration activities
  • End-to-End Monitoring: migration progress, processing status, failures, and overall execution can be monitored through the CoreMATE platform, providing greater visibility throughout the migration lifecycle

TOOL FEATURES

Everything the migration team needs, in one tool.

Dashboard

A live, weighted progress view across every application scoped for the project, with sign-off tracking and a combined browser for every file generated across the tool.

Database Setup

Load the T24 Reference Database once, and optionally pull fresh data live from PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle via the Live DB Agent.

DM Scoping & Strategy

Captures the bank's own scoping inputs, a 17-point standard checklist, and generates the Scoping Summary and Migration Strategy Document.

DMS Generator

Reads field definitions from the Reference Database and turns them into a ready-to-use DMS Excel file, with automatic AA module defaults.

DMS Mapping

Matches legacy fields to T24 fields automatically, with translation support for non-English source data, and builds the final mapping sheet.

File Generator

Takes a mapped DMS sheet and a legacy data file, and produces a real T24 loading file — with lookup or logic-based value translation.

File Screening

Validates a legacy data file against T24's own rules, with optional AA, Association and DMD checks, and a detailed remediation report.

Transact Load File (OFS)

Generates OFS-format load files direct from mapped data.

Error Analysis & Fix

Diagnoses load and screening errors and suggests corrective fixes.

Data Reconciliation

Static extract comparison plus dynamic ad-hoc querying — Quick Functions, a guided query builder, or raw SQL — no SQL knowledge needed.

Saved Sessions

Separate projects, reusable saved transformation logic, full backup & restore, and every named session kept safe.

DM User Guides

Built-in theory and concept explainers, plus reference documents, alongside the always-available "Ask me!" assistant.

ProjectMATE

A tool for planning the work, sizing the resources, estimating cost, and governing delivery once it's underway — built around the same delivery discipline SAVEX applies to every engagement.

PROJECTMATE — WHAT IT COVERS

A plan sized to scope, and governance that updates itself.

PROJECT PLANNING

Scope-driven plan generation

Define what's in scope and get a complete phased plan sized to it, instead of starting from a blank template every time.

Flexible project types

Implementation, upgrade, enhancement, or data migration — each with its own phase structure and delivery pattern.

Automatic activity generation

Workshops, design, build and training tasks generate automatically as scope grows or shrinks.

Editable, living plan

Every phase and activity stays fully editable after generation — a starting point, not a constraint.

Visual timeline

A single-glance strip shows how phases sequence and overlap across the full engagement.

Deliverables and notes per phase

Track expected documents and sign-offs, plus free-text notes for context, risks, or decisions.

Dependency tracking

Record what each activity depends on, so sequencing logic is visible, not just implied by dates.

DELIVERY GOVERNANCE

Automatic RAG status

Every activity, phase and the project as a whole is classified Red / Amber / Green automatically.

Configurable thresholds

RAG sensitivity is tunable to how tightly a given engagement needs to be tracked.

At-risk activity surfacing

Slipped or at-risk activities are surfaced automatically in one place, no manual scanning needed.

Utilization-based alerts

An early warning once resource utilization crosses a high threshold, before a bottleneck hits.

AI-generated status forecasting

A one-click, AI-generated summary of overall risk and whether the current end date is realistic.

Status reporting export

Generate a presentation-ready status report in one click for steering committee reporting.

Multi-project oversight

See at a glance which of several engagements are over budget, over-utilized, or off-track.

Full data portability

Every project exports to and imports from a standard spreadsheet format — nothing locked in.
